Who We Are

Bob Hercules is an award-winning producer/director and President of Media Process Educational Films. Over his 40-year career Hercules has filmed around the world and his work has been seen on PBS, Amazon, Netflix, IFC, BBC and through television syndication nationwide.

Hercules’ 2020 film, Mikva! Democracy is a Verb, chronicles the former Congressman, Federal Judge and mentor to Barack Obama, Abner Mikva. The film played on PBS stations across the country.

His 2016 film, Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise, (co-directed by Rita Coburn) premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, went on to win 19 awards on 3 continents and was broadcast on the PBS series American Masters in 2017. It won a Peabody Award for excellence in documentary in 2018.


Keith Walker is a Director of Photography and co-owner of Media Process group. Over the years Keith has shot hundreds of broadcast segments for shows like "60 Minutes," "Oprah's Next Chapter," "Dateline," and "HBO Real Sports," as well as numerous award-winning documentaries for PBS, NBC and CBS. He has also shot many corporate marketing and educational projects for clients like the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Gates Foundation, and Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

The documentaries he has shot include: Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise, A Good Man and Forgiving Dr. Mengele by Bob Hercules, Head Games by Steve James, Mavis! (HBO), and Catching Hell (ESPN) by Alex Gibney.
